Nose: Crisp and fruity, with freshly sliced apples and lemon zest backed up by buttered toast, sultana jam and a scoop of salted caramel. Green grass and aromatic spring meadows pop up behind, with candy
bracelets and Love Hearts.
Palate: Soft and oily on the tongue, with an initial burst of sweetness fading to spice: butter toffee and apple sauce move to fragrant oak, incense and soft allspice. Damp leafy notes build, with forest-floor rancio and hints of freshly stripped tree bark. Under everything is a rich toffee sweetness with flashes of fruit.
Finish: Damp oak fades to leave apple peel, soft spice and buttered fruit loaf.
