Raw Cask – Amrut Peated Finish – Blackadder

The internationally-acclaimed Raw Cask whisky is Blackadder’s leading brand, which is the key focus of their company. These are whiskies from the old school, as they could have been drawn from a cask behind a bar in Scotland back in the 1800s. It is the King of the Single Casks!

Description

Tasting note:

The nose has a nice smoky, peated aroma which envelopes the vanilla, anise and spices that come from the original bourbon cask. There is almost a smoked bacon edge to this dram. On the palate the smoked
bacon is very prominent along with the anise and spices. This dram really gives a meaty feel with, warm smoky, peaty oak and sweetness. Moderate tannins on the cheeks and a little spicy on the tongue. The smoke
and peat from the cask finish as well as the sweetness and spices are long lingering!
